The main use of nickel is as an alloy of iron and chromium to produce stainless steel. Moreover, nickel alloy with a higher content such as stainless steel, is used widely for bigger applications such as gas turbines and in the chemical industry. The nickel-iron alloy is widely used in electronics and specialist engineering, while the nickel-copper alloy is used for currencies and in the marine industry.
