MIND ID Supports Mental Health of State-Owned Enterprise Employees with “1000 Manusia Bercerita”

Jakarta, 8 October 2024 – MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, continues its commitment to support and raise the mental health of State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) employees.

IND ID supports the new program of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, 1000 Manusia Bercerita, held in eight cities, Jakarta, Magelang, Malang, Bali, Balikpapan, Makassar, Medan, and Palembang.

In his speech, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, represented by Special Staff III of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Arya Sinulingga, stressed the importance of attention to mental health amid rapid changes and technological development in the working environment.

“Rapid changes in the corporate world and digital technology bring their own separate challenges for employees. They are expected to manage various emotions and pressures to the best of their abilities. Minister Erick also hopes that BUMN friends in South Sumatera are tough, the same as people in the era of the Sriwijaya Kingdom,” explained Arya.

The series on 1000 Manusia Bercerita in South Sumatra has been implemented based on a collaboration between the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises with the platform, Becoming Human, which is supported by MIND ID, Hutama Karya, Pupuk Indonesia, Injourney Airports, Pertamina Gas Negara, Bulog, ASDP, and Telkomsel.

One of the series of 1,000 Manusia Bercerita was held at the Taman Purbakala Kerajaan Sriwijaya (Ancient Garden of Sriwijaya Kingdom), Palembang, South Sumatera, on Saturday (05/10). The event was participated by 350 millennial and Z generation BUMN employees from the South Sumatera region.

In Palembang, the series of programs began with a breathing exercise session under the guidance of mindfulness practitioner, Hendrick Tanuwidjaja. The program was followed by a talk show session with the theme “Deeper Self Recognition for Soul Recovery”, held by Andien and Aurra Kharisma, as well as a meditation session with a psychologist.  

MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Heri Yusuf, said that the activities of 1000 Manusia Bercerita have the purpose of becoming a platform for mental health advocacy, providing positive space for BUMN employees to share various stories.

He added that the 1000 Manusia Bercerita is a positive initiative and in line with the efforts of MIND ID to continuously raise the health quality of employees through various programs and campaigns.

As a Holding Company for State-Owned Enterprises, MIND ID has a mandate from the country, namely managing mineral resources and implementing a downstream program. The implementation of this noble task needs human resources that have the best working ethics and mental health so that any strategic decision and initiative can provide the most optimal impact for the country and the welfare of the public.

 Heri stressed that the company has health service facilities and is proactive in raising awareness of the importance of mental health among employees.
