MIND ID Implements Sustainable Communications Agenda to Build Future Civilization

JAKARTA - MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, is consistent in implementing its commitment to operate responsible and sustainable mining operations.

The management of natural resources is aimed at building a future civilization, while at the same time, ensure the long term benefits for the people and the environment. These efforts are strengthened by a sustainable communications agenda to ensure each positive impact can be delivered well to the public.

MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Pria Utama, stressed that sustainability constitutes the main aspect of the company in running its business in all entities of Group Members. Through directed communications, MIND ID ensures that each sustainability initiative can be accepted, understood, and receive support from stakeholders.

“Sustainability initiatives and communications agenda cannot be separated. Consistent communications programs are implemented to enable the public to take part in the efforts of the MIND ID Group in building future civilization,” he said.

For the successul implementation of ESG application synergyin Group Members, MIND ID has received the Platinum Alignment (Leader Quadrant) award at the Top 100 Indonesia 2025 La Tofi ESG Rating and Sustainability Communication Awards 2025.

This award is evident that MIND ID not only practices sustainability, but also able to communicate all achievements in a transparent and responsible manner.

MIND ID protects the continuity of sustainability publication, from premining phase, mining operations, post mining operations, to mineral processing. Publication is carried out through cooperation with the media, digital communications, and internal channels of the company, to strengthen the understanding the public on the sustainability performance of the Group.

Pria explained that the consistent main messages concerns, among others, the success in planting 596,061 trees in post mining areas, a step which protects the consistency in getting the Green and Gold PROPER.

MIND ID also strengthens its narration supporting energy transition through the utilization of 99.3% hydropower clean energy, electrification of mining equipment, as well as aluminium processing energy efficiency optimalization in Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra. 

The occupational safety aspect is also a focus of sustainable communications. The application of ISO 45001 standard in all operations strengthens the K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) culture of the MIND ID Group.

On the other hand, the involvement of supply chains is also communicated openly. MIND ID ensures that natural resource benefits can be felt up to the local supplier level, with the local supplier portion reaching 39.19% and national suppliers 56.4%, strengthening the contribution of the Group as the economic motor of Indonesia.

Pria Utama stressed that stronger ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) integration, accompanied by strategic sustainability communications, will bring MIND ID as the main movers of the national mining industry towards a greener, inclusive and globally competitive future.
