MIND ID Sends 3 Trucks Containing Medicine to Aceh and Sumatera to Assist in Maintaining Immunity and Health

JAKARTA - MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, is sending 3 trucks loaded with vitamins and medicine to a number of territories affected by disasters in Sumatra, as a form of the company’s concern.


The assistance is focused on 3 points, namely Banda Aceh, Lhoksumawe and Aceh Tamiang.  The hope is that the affected people can be assisted with maintaining their physical defense and good health in the midst of post disaster recovery.


Although access to various food assistance are starting to open, the people would need multivitamins and medicine to strengthen their immune system and prevent disease. The people need to maintain their prime physical condition in order to recover their normal lives.


Especially so as the peple still need energy to clean the environment and repair their homes and public facilities which have been damaged. 


In response to such needs, MIND ID has channeled 100,000 assistance in the form of vitamins, medication and daily needs in three trucks. Such assistance consists of multivitamins for children and adults, milk, honey, cough drops, medication for fevers, stomach problems, allergy, flu, diarhea, topical medication and daily needs such as diapers for babies and adults, wet and dry tissues. 


Pria Utama stressed that these health assistance is part of the company’s commitment to be present in responding to the needs of people affected by disasters.


“In disaster conditions, the people need to be in good physical condition to enable recovery of their lives. That is why we channel vitamins and medicine to assist the health of the victims, particularly in the midst of post disaster recovery activities,” he said. 


The MIND ID Group not only channels vitamins and medicine, but also expert health volunteers in various disaster points.


The presence of these health volunteers also aims at directly assisting the health conditions of victims, while at the same time, conduct an assesment of the medical needs at field.


These steps are made to enable future health assistance can be right on target, expecially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, women and children.


Pria added that MIND ID is committed to not only channel assistance, but also understand field conditions directly, to enable the response given to be relevant in accordance with needs.


“We want to ensure that each assistance we give can provide actual benefits and assist the people to recover.  In such a difficult situation, MIND ID will continuously be present with the people in the post disaster recovery process,” he said.
