MIND ID Group Sends Humanitarian Aid to Sumatra and East Java

All Indonesians continue to assist one another to alleviate the burden of the people who have become the victims of natural natural disasters from Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra to East Java.

MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, together with all of its group members, fully support the directives of President Prabowo Subianto to hasten the recovery of infrastructure access.

President Prabowo Subianto stressed that the recovery of basic infrastructure and public service is the main priority of the government in the initial phase of disaster handling. He believes that all parties and government bodies at this time is working quickly to normalize the regions.

“We are slowly getting back to normal. We inventorize all damages. Subsequently, we will work on rehabilitation. So that the people can live normally again,” he said.

To support post disaster recovery, the MIND ID Group, from PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium, PT Timah Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk and MIND ID, deployed the Emergency Response Group (ERG) to affected regions and channel logistic assistance to victims of the disaster. The assistance consists of the Social and Environment Responsibility (TJSL) program of the MIND ID Group and donations of MIND ID personnel.

MIND ID Group assistance consists of main food items, medicine, vitamins, baby milk, baby and adult diapers, sleeping mats, clothes and cleaning tools, channeled to four provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra and East Java. 

MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Pria Utama, said that the disasters occuring in Sumatra and East Java are hurting all the people of Indonesia. With this assistance, the MIND ID Group is making efforts to be present in order to strengthen one another and igniting the hopes of the people.

“We hope that the assistance in logistics, health and the disaster response team will be able to lighten the burden of the people in Sumatra. We hope that conditions can recover soon and together, we can build a brighter future of Indonesia,” he stressed.

Pria added that the aid channeling program has been conducted with the collaboration of local youths and volunteers to enable the assistance to be distributed quicker and on target. 

These efforts are in line with the commitment of MIND ID to encourage the initiative and contribution of local youths for economic and social strength.

Furthermore, as a form of mutual concern, MIND ID is also raising funds from all employees to assist the natural disasters in Sumatra and East Java.

This campaign shows that all MIND ID employees are proactively contributing to alleviate the burden experienced by people in disaster regions.

“We are committed to continuously helping the people in Sumatra throughout the emergency response period until the recovery process, as well as consistently supporting the future civilization development in Sumatra,” Pria concluded.
