MIND ID Group Zero Fatality 2022 Commitment

Jakarta, 11 February 2022 - MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, with members PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Inalum (Persero) dan PT Timah, is committed to achieve its zero fatality target in 2022.  The MIND ID Group is continuously internalizing its Occupational Health and Safety (K3) culture.

MIND ID’s Director of Operations and Portfolio Danny Praditya said that “As a company managing commodities and natural resources, mineral mining and processing operations of the MIND ID Group are a high-risk occupation.  The MIND ID Group therefore continually pays due attention to the Occupational Health and Safety aspects, providing safe, healthy and secure working conditions to ensure and protect all employees.”

In managing occupational health and safety, the MIND ID Group pays due reference to the Strategic Guidelines on Occupational Health and Safety as well as Environmental Guidelines.  The MIND ID Group conducts risk identification, risk evaluation, risk control, risk monitoring and risk measurements as well as risk profiling for every risk that may occur.  During the pandemic, the adoption of health protocols in working areas became a priority at MIND ID Group.

The commitment to implement K3 management throughout the MIND ID Group is implemented through the appointments of personnel in the organizational structure with the responsibility to ensure that all activities of the Company related to K3 and the Environment are being implemented based on the prevailing regulations.  Moreover, the MIND ID Group also adopts the Occupational Healthy & Safety Management System as well as the ISO 45001:2018 and OHSAS (Occupational, Health & Safety Management System) 18001:2007.

Various programs have been conducted by the MIND ID Group, from promoting awareness of K3, raising the quality of inspections, training, ensuring the completeness of personal protective equipment, to the implementation of the K3 policy on vendors working within the premises of the Company.  In order to ensure occupational health, the Company also requires all employees to get medical check-ups periodically and monitoring as well as measuring the working environment parameters routinely.
