Present for Indonesia, MIND ID Coaches More than 10,000 UMK (Micro and Small Enterprises)

Jakarta, 3 April 2025 – MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, as the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, continues its commitment to support Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) in the areas around its operational sites.

With the spirit of Present for the Nation, MIND ID ensures that its presence not only contibutes to the mining sector, but also provides real benefits to the people, specifically for Micro and Small Enterprise (UMK) players.

Through a total program support, from capital, guidance, accompaniment, as well as participation in exhibitions, the MIND ID Group assists Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKs) under its guidance to expand market and raise competitiveness.

Up to 2024, the MIND ID Group, which consists of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium, PT Timah Tbk, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, has provided guidance to more than 10,000 Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKs).

From the number, as many as 1,027 Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKs) have successfully been upgraded since 2021 to 2024, which is shown by the increase in income and expansion of their market. Such achievement is evidence that the presence of MIND ID provides real benefits for the growth of the local economy and people in the regions.

MIND ID Corporate Secretary Heri Yusuf disclosed that Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKs) have a dominant portion in supporting national economic performance.

He believes that many opportunities to develop business could not be optimized due to lack of ability in managing the business and adapting to changes in business.

Aware of this challenge, MIND ID provides programs which can assist the Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKs) under its guidance to transform to become more competitive.

“With the right program support, the MIND ID Group is present to assist Micro and Small Enterprises (UMKs) under its guidance to raise the capacity of their business so that they can support the efforts to raise economic performance and assist in the absorption of the work force in the regions,” he said.

Heri Yusuf explained that 2025 is a condusive period forMicro and Small Enterprises (UMKs) to raise business performance even more. With many investments geared to the regions, big opportunities are open to local business players, including UMKs, to grow faster.
