MIND ID Group Channels More than 3,900 Educational Fund Assistance for 2024 National Education Day
Jakarta, 2 May 2024 – MIND ID (Mining Industry Indonesia), the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, has continually promoted education through various educational funding assistance programs.
Commemorating National Education Day, throughout 2023, MIND ID has provided educational funding assistance to 3,967 of the nation's top students, who came from poor families living in the surrounding mining areas of the company.
Through various educational funding assistance programs, MIND ID envisions developing leading and high-quality human resources. The program takes the form of educational funds, cost of living funds, and other education support assistance.
MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Heri Yusuf, said that the National Education Day is the right momentum for the company to strengthen its support for the national education sector.
“MIND ID and its members provide education scholarships for people living within the surrounding mining areas who want to further their education. This is done to support the human resource quality of people living within the operational territory of the company,” he said.
The MIND ID Group, through PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM) channels educational fund assistance consisting of scholarships to 143 people and end-of-study assistance to 290 people.
Meanwhile, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) runs the 'Ayo Sekolah' program, providing educational fund assistance to 3,011 individuals and the BIDIKSIBA Scholarship to 50 individuals.
Furthermore, the MIND ID’s Omkmin Scholarship (Papua) program participated by 50 people and educational cost assistance to 108 people, while INALUM channels high school scholarships for 66 people and D1 Akibpa scholarships to 4 people, KSE 10 scholarships as well as educational scholarships for 20 people.
PT Timah Tbk (TINS) also has an educational fund assistance program called Pamali for 107 people and Educational Scholarships for 18 people.
“We are also endeavoring to maintain inclusivity of this program so that the children of underprivileged families are able to continue their education to the higher level,” he said.
