JMFF 2026 Draws 4,026 Visitors, Mineral Education Weaving Indonesian Unity
JAKARTA – The Junior Miners Fun Fest (JMFF) 2026 held by MIND ID with all Members of the Group, ANTAM, Bukit Asam, Freeport Indonesia, INALUM, Timah, and Vale Indonesia, successfully drew 4,026 visitors, consisting of 1,588 children and 2,438 adults during its four day event at Lippo Mall Kemang, South Jakarta.
These figures are nearly double compared to the first event in 2025 which drew 2,167 visitors, a growth which reflects the increased interest of the public on mining education for the young generation.
During the four day event, children were invited to play while recognizing various minerals being used daily, understanding the mining process in a simple way, to knowing the importance of maintaining environmental conservation. Each exhibit has been designed so that the knowledge is being shown through direct experience, not only explanation.
Besides having a playful time, the children are also invited to color the Indonesian map, which became a symbol of Indonesian unity and integrity for the future..
Senja, 7 years old, admitted that he was smitten by the JMFF atmosphere since day one.
“Its very exciting! I now know that many things we use daily are products from the mines,” he said enthusiastically.
He added that learning while playing has made new knowledge easier to remember.
“If there is another event, I would like to come again,” he said.
Senja’s parent, Pudjiyanti, 47 years, believe that the edutainment presented by JMFF has become an effective means of understanding the importance of natural resources for children.
“It is easier for children to understand if they study while at play. They do not only enjoy the play, but also bring home new knowledge on natural resource wealth of Indonesia and the importance of managing it responsibly,” said Pudjiyanti.
She added that the experience of learning this way has made her child more enthusiastic compared to learning from books.
“My child is usually quickly bored if learning through books. Here, he is actually in high spirits to try each game. I hope that activities such as this can be conducted regularly as the benefits are truly felt, for children as well as parents,” she said.
MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Pria Utama, explained that JMFF is an enjoyable family education event during vacation, while at the same time introduce the mining sector closer to the young generation.
Through direct experience playing in the garden likened to a mine, it is hoped that children can have a better understanding of the world of mining and its contribution to national development.
“This is a firm step of the MIND ID Group to form a golden generation who are able to appreciate natural resources better, while at the same time, support the development of Indonesia’s sustainable mining industry in future,” Pria emphasized.
