MIND ID’s Commitment to Strengthen Human Capital Performance of Mining Sector
Jakarta, 13 October 2021 – One of the important aspects in achieving sustainability, is the Company’s human capital. The Company needs to be able to manage human capital effectively so that the resulting added value can be utilized for the long term. As a form of commitment to accelerate the Human Capital capacity, MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, inaugurates 25 graduates of the Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP) Cohort 2 on Friday, 8 October 2021.
MIND ID Director of Strategic Services, Ogi Prastodmiyono, said that “ELDP is a development program for BOD-2 MIND ID Group’s top talents, illustrating our commitment to developing the human capital of the Company. This program produces prospective leaders in line with the AKHLAK culture and who have the capacity to implement MIND ID’s Noble Purpose.
The ELDP program began since September 2019 and covers leadership modules such as: Leading self, Leading strategy and innovation, Leading high performing teams, Strategic decision-making and financial acumen, dan Leading execution. ELDP is a program designated for MIND ID Group’s personnel. Participants are required to take classes both face-to-face and virtually with global facilitators such as the Wharton School, Darden Business School and Korn Ferry. This program is one of the efforts undertaken by the Company in implementing the mandate of MIND ID.
MIND ID receives three important mandates from the Government to advance the mining industry in Indonesia, namely, managing strategic minerals and coal reserves in Indonesia, aggressively conducting downstreaming of mineral resources under its management, and becoming a world-class company. Towards that aim, MIND ID Group’s top talents need to have high-level organizational capabilities and individual competencies in responding to the mandate.
ELDP participants are expected to become leaders with global perspectives and competitive abilities, as well as the ability to lead strategic initiatives of MIND ID effectively. In this program, participants have passed a total duration of 284 hours of in-class learning, 24 hours of presentation sessions that explain the results of action learning projects related to 8 strategic initiative projects and guided by 6 Executive Project Sponsors.
In order to respond to global needs and challenges, the participants are involved in a global apprenticeship program to 5 countries in 15 global companies for 3 months. With the ELDP program, MIND ID Group personnel will not only be qualified in only one field, the acceleration program will produce talents well qualified in many fields. It is expected, therefore, that the MIND ID Group personnel will be capable of ensuring the sustainability of the mineral resources under the Company’s management in order to provide long term, maximum contribution for Indonesia.
