JAKARTA – In the midst of Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen mineral downstreaming, build national industry supply chain, as well as hasten the transition towards a more sustainable economy, deeper and data based journalistic works become increasingly important.

The public needs stories that are capable of clarifying how Indonesia’s mineral wealth is managed, provides added value, while at the same time contributing to the strengthening of Indonesia’s sovereignty.

To encourage the birth of such stories, MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, has again presented MediaMIND 2026, a journalistic competition which is entering its fifth year.

MediaMIND becomes a collaboration room for journalists, academicians, observers, and the public to present perspectives, analysis, as well as inspirational stories on Indonesia’s mineral management.

With the theme “From the Earth to National Sovereignty”, MediaMIND 2026 invites participants to uncover various stories on how Indonesia’s mineral wealth is managed responsibly to strengthen national industry, support energy transition, create added value through downstreaming, as well as raise the welfare of the people.
