Pria stressed that the use of TSL Ausmelt Furnace technology has become the main motor in processing low-grade tin ore, of 40-70 percent Sn, with a production capacity of up to 40,000 tons of liquid tin per year.
Aside from the operational aspect, TIMAH also continues its innovation in developing downstream products. One of these is the successful development of dimethyltin dichloride (DMT) in solid form, which previously was only available in liquid form.
This innovation not only increases efficiency but also opens new opportunities in providing raw material for the solar panel industry, thereby strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global technology supply chain.
