MIND ID Becomes Part of 26.9% Movers of National Economy

JAKARTA - MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, has again entered the Fortune Indonesia 100 Years 2025 list. This award is evidence that the strategic initiative implemented in an integrated manner by the MIND ID Group is able to move the economic performance towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

The Fortune Indonesia award is given to 100 major companies in Indonesia, and their service as a mover for economic growth with 26.93% total contribution of National Gross Domestic Product.

As the second largest company in the Fortune Indonesia 100 list in the energy sector, MIND ID posts income of Rp145.2 trillion and profit of Rp40.2 trillion.

MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Pria Utama, said that this achievement is the product of the management integration and processing of mineral and coal resources in Indonesia, in order to create bigger economic added value for Indonesia.

“This constitutes a tangible form of the commitment and contribution of all MIND ID Members, and of course, we will maintain this for the sake of future advancement of civilization in Indonesia,” he said.

Pria continued, throughout 2024, MIND ID supports the integration of performance strengthening and business expansion of MIND ID Members through a series of downstream strategic projects.

Through ANTAM and INALUM, MIND ID realized the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) in Mempawah, which is the integrator of the aluminium production supply chain from upstream to downstream in Indonesia.

The national strategic project with an investment value of US$900.7 million or about Rp13.5 trillion, produces about 1 million tons of alumina per year with raw material of 3.3 million tons of bauxite per year.

Furthermore, the MIND ID Group also realized the second copper smelter of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), the Manyar Smelter at Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE), Gresik, East Java, with an investment value of US$3.7 billion or Rp58 trillion. The output of this smelter is, among others, 650 thousand tons of copper cathode, 50-60 tons and about 22 tons of silver per year.

The total absorption of workers for the operations of coal processing, and all series of downstream development of the MIND ID Group, up to 2024, is 69,258 workers spread throughout various regions in Indonesia.

The absorption of workers contributes in raising the quality of human resource, while at the same time, become the foundation for future economic growth equality.
