MIND ID Secures the SNI ISO 37001 Certification, Implementing the Anti Bribery System

Jakarta, 13 August 2020 - The Indonesian Mining Industry Holding (MIND ID)/PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) or INALUM is implementing an anti-bribery management standard which provides zero tolerance to bribery behaviour in conducting business activities, after the company secured the SNI ISO 37001 on the Anti Bribery Management System or Sistem Manajemen Anti Penyuapan (SMAP).

MIND ID Group CEO Orias Petrus Moedak said that the implementation of the SNI ISO 37001 is a commitment to develop and adopt an effective and appropriate SMAP in order to prevent briberies in whatever form, and to ensure compliance of this policy by each individual.  This is in line with the integrity value upheld by MIND ID and INALUM.

“The implementation of SMAP represents our consistent effort to put forward the principles of good governance.  We have an utmost commitment to run the business in a transparent and fair manner, and to adopt the zero-tolerance principle towards bribery and corruption activities, by the board of directors, commissioners, employees, contractors, agents, as well as other related parties,” said Orias.

SNI ISO 37001:2016 is designed to assist organizations to stipulated, adopt, maintain and promote anti-bribery programs to fight against bribery and its impact.  With the SNI ISO 37001: 2016 Certificate, all employees will adhere to the anti-bribery and anti-corruption policy by following the principles of Proportional, Commitment from the Top Management, Risk Evaluation, Feasibility Test, Communication, Supervision and Review.

As part of the monitoring towards the consistency of the company to prevent bribery, INALUM has provided a whistleblowing system.  Any person is able to file a report on any violating practices, including those related to bribery.  Currently, the whistleblowing channel at INALUM is through whatssapps - 0811 646 343 or 0811 620 7888 and e-mail wbs@inalum.id.

On 1 September 2020, MIND ID as the Holding company will implement the whistleblowing system which can receive reports on violations conducted internally by the Mining Holding as a whole.  The reports will be processed by an independent, third party, to maintain freedom from all manners of vested interests.
