MIND ID takes part in Reverberating G20 Presidency through Music and Religion

Jakarta, 03 November 2022 – The MIND ID Group fully supports the International Conference of Religious Leaders or R20 Indonesia 2022 at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Badung Regency, Bali, on Wednesday (2/11/2022). The G20 side event is in line and important to support the Sustainability Pillar of MIND ID, particularly in the point on people. Aside from R20, MIND ID also took part in the success of Music 20 or M20.

The R20 event, with 464 participants in total, 170 of whom are from overseas, presented various topics, specifically concerning humanitarian issues. These include poverty, inequity, socio-political polarization, as well as economic recession due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This forum underscored the need for various parties to take an active role in solving humanitarian and global issues, such as tension, violence, polarization to poverty and inequity.

MIND ID’s Director for Institutional Relations, Dany Amrul Ichdan, believes that it is time the values of beliefs and religion become solutions to various humanitarian problems, not the other way around, the source of the problems. “The role of religious leaders cannot be ignored. Religious leaders provide ample assistance to the government and public in making a success of their programs. Moreover, religious leaders also convey righteous and trusted messages for their respective congregations,” he said.

The G20 side event, which is equally important, is the M20 in which Indonesian musicians perform. The theme of the G20 Indonesia Presidency, “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, focuses on four key issues, namely, global health architecture, energy transition, digital economic transformation and food crisis.

Music is one of the strong mediums to instill awareness of the global community on the importance of the four key issues of the G20 Indonesia Presidency. Therefore, G20 has become the music platform to drive the four key issues.

Music remains effective as the activator of a campaign for specific issues, as an example, conducting a low carbon emission event, not using plastic, and optimizing products which can be recycled. M20 also hopes to stimulate music lovers to create music which brings awareness regarding environmental conservation or other, more strategic issues.

The MIND ID Group supports this event as one of the positive means, aside from bringing the message, also as a media to express the creativity of each group. Music is also an effective collaboration platform in various groups, as well as various interests. MIND ID presents the booth experience in this event.
