MIND ID Social Service Program Provides Benefits for Ciderum Village

Jakarta - MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, is consistently showing its commitment in supporting the regional people to create circular economic ecosystem which provides direct benefits for the people and nature.

Through its social program called Senyawa Employee Volunteer Volume 3, MIND ID again has scores of employees assisting the local people in various education, economic development, and environmental conservation activities.

In the program this time, focus is on three main activites, waste processing, development of sheep farming, as well as fish seedling distribution in ponds. The three activities have become facilities to raise collective awareness of mutual assistance, protecting nature, while at the same time, getting sustainble economic benefits.

MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Pria Utama, said that the people are the front liners in nature conservation and require comprehensive support from many parties.

MIND ID, managing Indonesia’s mineral and coal resources, undertake efforts to consistently support the people, not only in the operational level but also through various social activities which create sustainable circular economy.

Ciderum Village is one of the mentored villages developed by MIND ID to become Desa Eduwisata or educational tourism village. This program does not only provide suitable facilities and infrastructure, but also various counseling focused on environmental awareness and mental health of the people.

The villagers now have better access to integrated waste management, opportunities for additional income from sheep farming, to sustainable food through fish ponds.

The impact provides double benefits, for the people as well as the surrounding environment.

More than that, Pria stressed, the Employee Volunteer activities in Ciderum Villable are also part of MIND ID’s strategy as Indonesia’s responsible mineral resource management.
