MIND ID Group’s Community Empowerment Program Gets TJSL & CSR Awards and SME Award

Jakarta, 12 August 2022 – Community empowerment in the surrounding areas of a Company’s operations is believed to not only protect business continuity, but also raise the per capita income of an area.  The MIND ID Group is committed to undertake collaboration in community empowerment in the surrounding areas of its mining operations. For this effort, MIND ID has received three awards for its Integrated Coconut Industry and Bukit Asam Industrial Center programs.

MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, with members PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Inalum (Persero) dan PT Timah Tbk, believes that community empowerment in the surrounding areas of operations is part of the support to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), primarily to point 1, No Poverty; point 3 Good Health and Well-being; point 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth; and point 10, Reduced Inequalities.

The TJSL & CSR Award from BUMN Track this year presented the theme “BUMN (State-Owned Enterprise) Acceleration Drives Economic Recovery Through TJSL & CSR”. These activities provide the highest recognition to BUMNs and BUMN subsidiaries who have implemented the best TJSL & CSR programs in line with the four pillars of SDGs, the Social, Economic, Environment, Legal and Governance Pillars. At the awards night (11/8), MIND ID received an award for the Economic pillar.

The subsequent award, the SME Award, came from the Marketeers.  At the awards night (12/08) held at FX Sudirman, the MIND ID Group received an award for the Product Development Enabler category through its Muara Enim Integrated Industry Center Program, together with PT Bukit Asam and Agriculture Sector Enabler category with the East Halmahera Integrated Coconut Industry Program together with PT Antam Tbk.

Binahidra Logiardi, MIND ID’s CSR Division Head, said that “The awards serve as a driving force for the MIND ID Group to be true to its commitment to maintain business sustainability, such as through the empowerment programs of its surrounding communities.  We believe that the communities in the surrounding areas of operations have substantial potential to be developed, the Company is present to become the solution, assist and encourage each SME (Small Medium Enterprises) under its development program to accelerate.”

In its efforts to develop the SMEs, the MIND ID Group is now developing SMEs based on the clustering of sectors, consisting of: the Trade Sector with 3,339 active members; Agriculture with 881 active members; Services with 870 active members; Livestock & Fishery with 637 active members; Industry with 625 active members; Estate with 209 active members. The MIND ID Group’s SME programs cover a total of 6,561 active members.
