MIND ID Reaches More than 32,000 Children in its Safari Ramadhan of One Compassion, a Million Hopes

JAKARTA - MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, together with all Group Members, is conducting the 2026 Safari Ramadhan Program throughout MIND ID Group’s operational territory. This is the embodiment of the downstream added value brought back to the public, specifically orphaned children, those with physical disabilities, children battling cancer and those vulnerable groups who are the foundation for Indonesia’s future.

The focus of the support for these children is in line with the Astra Cita (Eight Missions) of the President related to the support for the young generation and those with disabilities for human resource development.

This year, MIND ID’s Safari Ramadhan, has the theme “One Compassion, a Million Hopes for Indonesia and the World”. The theme emphasizes that one act of kindness implemented collectively can draw millions of hope. MIND ID together with all Group Members is consistent in strengthening various social support programs in order for those are capable, grow the spirit and hopes for children.

The total assistance channeled covers 205 points from the Regency of Batubara, North Sumatera, to the Regency of East Halmahera, North Maluku. In this year’s program, the MIND ID Group covered 32,357 beneficial recipients, 7,421 compensation recipients, 14,258 grocery packages, and other social assistance such as 6,611 food packages for breaking the fast, 5,000 educational assistance, and 187 facilities for houses of worship.

Most of the assistance are prioritized for children fighting cancer, those with special needs/disabilities, orphaned children, as well as the poor in all operational areas.

MIND ID Corporate Secretary, Pria Utama, stressed that the downstreaming efforts are not only regarding economic performance, but social responsibility to improve the quality of Indonesians.

“MIND ID is proactive in ensuring the integration of mining activities, the process not only stops at the creation of economic added value, but also capable of creating social added value which will have a positive influence for the unity and sustainability of Indonesia as a great nation,” he said.

Pria explained that the priority of MIND ID is to support the development of the young generation of human resource from groups who are in need.

That is why the assistance provided this year does not only stop at basic needs, but also cover funds for education, facilities, health support such as medicine and supplements, as well as improvement to the primary electronic facility in houses and study rooms so that children will have reasonable places for growth.

“Downstreaming is designed to create benefits. Each ton of mineral we manage must be able to open opportunities for the improvement to the quality of life, particularly for children who will become the foundation for the civilization development of Indonesia’s future,” concluded Pria.
