ITB MediaMIND Socialization, Ensuring the Benefits of Mineral Wealth for Indonesia’s Civilization
Bandung, 20 August 2025 – MIND ID or PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero), the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, showcased its first MediaMIND 2025 at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in Bandung on Wednesday (20/8).
The event, attended by hundreds of students, the public, and the mass media of Bandung, becomes an opportunity to delve deeper into data and information related to the mining sector and the benefits produced.
ITB Director of Student Affairs, Muhamad Insanu, warmly welcomes the socialization of MediaMIND 2025 held by MIND ID on ITB’s campus. He believes that hundreds of students desire to go deeper and get the latest information on the mining sector.
He conveyed that MIND ID, as the Holding State-Owned Enterprise of Indonesia’s Mining Industry, has various strategic initiatives that can be material for study for ITB students.
ITB’s students will be enthusiastic about taking part in the competition by sending works containing their full thoughts.
“My student friends still have fresh ideas and writings. They are able to see and convey innovations that have not been thought about before,” he said.
MIND ID Department Head of Corporate Communication, Pratiwa Dyatmika, appreciates the enthusiasm of students, the public, and the media at the first socialization event of MediaMIND 2025.
During the opportunity, Pratiwi said that mining is meant to provide the biggest benefit for the welfare of the people and build the future civilization of Indonesia.
Moreover, efforts to optimize natural wealth are also accompanied by various sustainable programs which are able to protect the environment and social wealth of the Indonesian people.
Pratiwi gave as an example, coal mining in Ombilin, which has been eliminated since 2016. With the post-mining program consistently and sustainably undertaken, the coal mine inheritance in Ombilin was entered in the UNESCO cultural heritage list in 2019.
The people of Ombilin are increasingly independent in building their economy, and the wealth of cultural heritage, which is able to attract many tourists to their region.
“We are consistently optimizing this natural resource by managing and raising its added value. And of course, followed by various sustainable programs to ensure that the benefits of post-mining operations can still be felt by the people, such as in Ombilin,” she concluded.
