Minister of BUMN Special Staff III Arya Sinulingga, Receives Appreciation from Holding Company of Mining Industry

Jakarta, 20 December 2023 – Special Staff III of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprise Arya Sinulingga receives an award from MIND ID, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise of the Mining Industry or Mining Industry Indonesia. The Best Strategic Communication Specialist in SOEs award is given to Arya Sinulingga. 

The award was presented by MIND ID President Director, Hendi Prio Santoso, at the sidelines of the Media MIND 2023 journalistic competition, held at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/12/2023).

“We extend our greatest appreciation for his dedicated attention to the communications strategy of State-Owned Enterprise, specifically MIND ID,” said Hendi. 

During the same opportunity, Hendi also extended his appreciation to the participants of the MediaMIND 2023 journalistic competition with the theme “Providing Added Value for Indonesia.”

“More than just a partnership, we feel that the media and journalists who we cherish are very important bridges of our relations with the public, stakeholders, regulators, also with the external business communities,” said Hendi.

“This relation forms an important foundation of a healthy relationship between the company and the public. We hope that in the future, we can continue to build healthy and strong corporate narration to advance our joint vision and provide a positive impact to Indonesia,” he added.

In receiving the award, Arya Sinulingga stated that the media has an important role in advancing State-Owned Enterprises. One of the advancements of State-Owned Enterprises is due to the close relations and good cooperation between State-Owned Enterprises and the media.

He believes that media reports on issues concerning SOEs narrow the gap between realities on the field and information captured by the public. “This is why the media is very important, as the progress of SOEs is in the hands of the media,” he said.

The agenda for the program held last night by the State-Owned Holding Company of the Mining Industry also contains an appreciation for the media industry players and, of course, for the journalists. There are at least 29 media who have received appreciation and 5 journalists who have actively contributed and written articles on the Mining Industry to the public.

The event which more than 100 people attended is, at the same time, an awarding program to all winners of MEDIAMIND 2023. The jury evaluated and selected for nearly one month, a total of 255 works from 131 participants who have entered the competition, selecting 33 finalists for site visits to MIND ID members, divided into three clusters, namely 11 participants from the Aneka Tambang cluster, 11 clusters of PT Bukit Asam, and 11 clusters of INALUM.

Subsequently, the finalists rewrote the articles in which 12 winners, 2 favorite categories, and 3 best of the best, were chosen. Congratulations to the winners, who not only were focused on the national media but also on the local media.  It is hoped that this competition will raise even more the quality of journalistic products in Indonesia.
