MIND ID receives two awards simultaneously at the 4th Anniversary of the BUMN AWARDS 2022

Jakarta – MIND ID or Mining Industry Indonesia has received awards in the category of Brand Equity and Corporate Communications Material at the BUMN Awards 2022, on Thursday 27 October 2022, the fourth year the event was held by The Iconomics.

This year, MIND ID received the award for having developed extremely good reputation and corporate image, since its formation as the State-Owned Holding Company of the Mining Industry in 2017.

MIND ID’s Director of Institutional Relations, Dany Amrul Ichdan, said that the awards reflect the commitment to continually promote corporate brand awareness, as well as maintain the brand image and performance of MIND ID.

He went on to say that, since its incorporation in 2017, MIND ID received three key madates from the Government, reflected in the Company’s Long Term Plan, namely the management of domestic reserves and resources; downstreaming program; as well as becoming a world class company.

“We are focused on realizing the Government’s three mandates, to bring MIND ID in equal high standing as other global mining companies in the world,” he said.

Dany added that this year, MIND ID has become a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). The membership in UNGC illustrates the commitment and seriousness of MIND ID at the global level on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2030.

“MIND ID’s UNGC membership status constitutes the achievement of collaborative performance among the Company’s members, namely: PT Antam Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Inalum (Persero), and PT Timah Tbk, who have mutual commitments to support the 10 principles of UNGC,” he said.

In becoming a member of UNGC, MIND ID is in equal standing with other prominent world class mining companies, in line with its long term plan to become a world class company with a commitment in sustainability, based on ISO 26000 Sustainability Guidelines.

Not only that, the image related to mining is also introduced by MIND ID to millenials and Gen-Z. Early education also becomes important to provide the full picture of the world of mining.

This is conducted through its brand activation called Underground Mining Experience at the Indonesia Millenials and Gen-Z Summit 2022.

Through the activities, MIND ID targets millenials and Gen-Z, using an interesting means of understanding the world of mining.  The adoption of safety, post-mining sustainability, as well as mining operations in accordance with the principles of good mining practice, becomes the main topic raised in this Underground Mining Experience. Before entering the underground mining to create content, or photo, each participant is required to use safety gears, to promote MIND ID’s priority of safety at work.

“Aside from education, there is also an activation called Augmented Reality, controling trucks using VR technology, such as what is being done at PT Freeport Indonesia, who has adopted the Underground Mining Digitalization, making a priority of safety at work,” Dany concluded.
