MIND ID Spreads Hope, Empowers People during 1444H Ramadan Safari

Jakarta, 14 April 2023 – MIND ID, now known as PT Mineral Industri Indonesia (Persero), the Holding Company of the Mining Industry, whose members are PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT INALUM, PT Timah Tbk, conducted a Ramadan Safari throughout the operational areas of the Company, in celebrating the 1444H holy month.

This is a form of social responsibility, and in the context of empowerment and giving hope to the surrounding people, especially the orphans, while at the same time teaching the beauty of giving. MIND ID Corporate Secretary Heri Yusuf, welcomes the initiative and good custom implemented year to year.

“MIND ID has a social responsibility to provide examples and hope in the areas surrounding the mining operations, particularly to orphans, in order that they can learn how to share and be more excited in fasting during this holy month,” he said. 

During Ramadan 1444H, the MIND ID Group has given out more than 18 thousand food packages (sembako), 5 thousand packages for orphans and to more than 250 locations of Mosques, Prayer Rooms (Mushola) and Islamic Boarding Schools.

Aside from aid in the form of goods and assistance, the MIND ID Group also took part in empowerment, through training and skills upgrading of mining competencies in the form of heavy equipment training for young males living in the surrounding areas of the mines, as well as handover of workshop certification building for mechanics.

“The MIND ID Group is committed not only to give aid in the form of assistance dan goods, but also training and skills upgrading, as these two will be able to become the basic means to work for those living in the surrounding mining areas,” added Heri.

The MIND ID Group puts forth sustainable mining operations, not only in terms of business, environment, but also the economy in the areas surrounding the mines, including contribution in Education and Skills. It is expected that this will make the people living in the surrounding areas of the mine capable of competing and ready to work when local workers in each area are needed.

This is evidence and in line of MIND ID’s presence as a Holding State-Owned Enterprise of the Mining Industry in Indonesia managing natural resources for civilization, prosperity and a brighter future.
