Commemorating Indonesia’s Independence Day, MIND ID’s PT Antam Releases Indonesian Heritage Silver and Gold Collection

Jakarta, 28 July 2023 – Member of MIND ID Group, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM), releases the newest silver and gold product series called Indonesian Heritage. The theme is introduced to the public in commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia’s 78th Independence Day.

The series of Indonesian Heritage silver and gold products have prompted MIND ID Group’s 
PT ANTAM Tbk, for the first time, to produce six silver design premium bars weighing 31.103 grams. While for the Gold Gift Series, four designs, each weighing 0.5 grams will be released.

Corporate Secretary of MIND ID, or Mining Industry Indonesia, the Holding State-Owned Enterprise for the Mining Industry, Heri Yusuf, said that the selection of Indonesian Heritage theme is to acknowledge the appreciation and honor to the wealth and support of several strategic regions in the country, to the cultural heritage.

“MIND ID through its subsidiary, PT ANTAM Tbk, launches Indonesian Heritage themed silver and gold products to express our honor and appreciation to numerous and special cultural heritage of Indonesia,” said Heri. 

Meanwhile, PT ANTAM Tbk Director of Operations and Production, Hartono, said that among the designs to be shown in the gold and silver product series are the iconic landscape of several regions which depict historical value and struggle of the Indonesian nation, such as Tugu Monas, which will be sculptured on the silver bar series of the Indonesian Heritage.

“While for the Gold Gift product series, several tourist destination landscapes are used for the design, showing the beauty and cultural heritage of Indonesia,” said Hartono.

At the launch of the newest gold and silver product series, Member of MIND ID Group, PT ANTAM Tbk, will present something different, specifically on the silver bar products which are intended to fulfil the demand and expectation of customers.

“We hope that the Indonesian Heritage series products can support the sales performance and target of the company. It is also believed that this product will become a valuable collection in the long term and will remain ageless over time,” he said.

The silver bar series of Indonesia Heritage are available in 42.5 mm x 25.5 mm size with six designs depicting the strategic city landmarks of Indonesia, the Tugu Monas (or Monas Tower) from DKI Jakarta, Barong from Bali, Sura & Baya Statues from Surabaya, Sate Building from Bandung, Ampera Bridge from Palembang, and Pinisi Ship representing the city of Makassar.

The making of the silver Indonesian Heritage bar series uses a sophisticated technology for security in the form of a microtext with 2023 written in the motive, rainbow effect, latent image, and QR code. 

Microtext is a mini size special code on the surface of gold or silver produced with high accuracy, preventing forgery.  While the rainbow effect will give a special image on the surface of the silver bar and latent image is a hidden picture which can only be seen when the silver bar is viewed from a certain angle.

Invisible ink is a certain type of ink which can only be seen under the UV ray. Putting the QR code on the surface of the gold and silver bar of the Indonesian Heritage is intended to make it easy for customers to get information on other precious metal products.

The Gift Series gold products will be available in four designs, namely the Borobudur Temple from Central Java, Toba Lake from North Sumatera, Bluko Dayak Hat from Kalimantan, and Zapin Monument representing the Riau Islands,

The Indonesian Heritage silver bars are presented in two variants, 2,400 pieces of the singles and 600 sets of the complete variants. While the Gift Series gold products will also be produced in limited edition. In future, as collection items, the Indonesian Heritage gold and silver products will gain in value.
